The sea, dangerous

and discovery. Over the distant horizon, the dominion of the known
becomes the one of the imaginary and hope. Beyond the blue frontiers
resides the Eldorado of sailors, the promised land of idealists, the heaven
of eternal spring and the subtle exhilaration of the incognito.

Zolo, Stella and Sultan
Dear Family and Friends,
Nicholas Valentino Wold Zolo was born at 12:20 AM in Belize City on
Sunday,February 8. The birth was without complication and Nicholas is a
healthy baby boy. Mommy is fine, radiant in fact. Little Nicky is the 256th
Belizean born this year.
Laura and I are so happy and totally in love with our little fellow.
He's got blue eyes, blonde hair and the cutest little fingers and toes
that anyone could imagine. We think he's the most beautiful baby boy we've
ever seen...
 For
now, we are living in a little rental cabin in the village of Placencia,
Belize. Our sailboat, which is our home, is riding at anchor in the harbor.
Nicky's Italian Grandmother, Giulia is here with us. This morning Nicky
had his first visit at Placencia's Health Center to be weighed, measured,
examined and enrolled in the infant health care program here. He's already
had his first airplane ride and today he took his afternoon snooze in newly
set-up hammock-cradle, complete with mosquito net.
